Today i needed to add another filter and UV light unit plus a new pond pump to the garden pond. So, i needed a manifold to convert one input into two smaller pipes. 22mm fittings and 15mm copper fittings were all in my shed so made it all up in copper and soldered 6 fittings up. Of course, once i finished i needed to look at my work and picked it up. Boy did it feel heavy before i dropped it and put my hand into a bucket of cold water i had next to it. I have 3 fingers with smooth finger prints but no blisters or burn discomfort due to sticking the digits into the bucket. |
Sometimes, you forget the object is practically red hot when soldering pipework. OUCH. Anyway, had to add another outdoor socket to run it and it is all working towards having crystal clear water for the Blue and orange Orfes which are beginning to look rather big now.
Saturday is safer as i am spraying a spoiler for a little Fiat Abarth.
