The "other" Ducati

The other day my motorcar was due in for services and MOT, but because the the garage is not on a bus route and it's too far to walk I decided as it is now street legal to take the little Cucciolo. This will be it's first half decent ride on the public road. So how did it go? Quite well in fact, I did however "chicken-out" mixing with the high speed traffic on Oxford's Eastern by-pass and pushed in across the pedestrian crossing instead. Apart from that, yes it went quite well, could even start it by peddling away once the engine was warmed up. May take a little time to get used to juggling all the controls - two on the nearside, three on the offside plus the hand gear change. It certainly beats walking or peddling for that mater. Even a second class ride beats a first class walk any day. |
The return journey, as the car was in all day took place around 5'O clock in the evening even more traffic about which made thing a little more existing. Also just for fun I fixed my GPS speedometer , a heady 22mph was recorded at one point, still not quite sure I have the carburetor settings quite right yet but that's something to look at in the future.
