That is an excellent scaffold. I wish they had been able to do that on my Tb and fib fracture 40 years ago. I had no metal support at all so plastered up for 12 months and bones did not line up when joined again.
Yes, all airport scans will bleep with it.
The biggest risk of those metal frames is having another fracture and the bones shatter. However, the ability of Doctors will also have moved on to make repairs again.

This is what my sister does. Injectable bone scaffolds based on nanotechnology lattices with growth agents covering the scaffold so bones can be rebuilt without metal and without invasive operations. On a physical level, the "goo" has to set without it being an exothermic reaction and it has to be a porous fixative. On a biological level, the growth agent is stem cell based and she tells me the required CRISPA editing is easy ( I think she lies there)

Probably not a bad idea ...

... but it seems to me that information in an IKBA post is pretty safe from the world? As far as I can tell, no one can "Search" in from the outside and hit on a word in one of your posts.

Of course, some "mole" already signed on the list could copy your information and dime you out to the bad guys, but that's not very likely.

If I'm wrong about the unsearchability of info inside an IKBA post, someone let me know, and let me know how you do it ...

Thank goodness for that, when I read the thread title I thought OMG some overnight disaster has occured how ironic is that surely that has not happened just after the picture was seen on here, and then your explanation Phew! no doubt good advice the picture contained a serial no in the iron work & I have seen various detective dramas where such things were used for identification of deceased characters so guess there is some record of these things somewhere that may be accessed.
