If you remember about two months ago my son Graham was driving a costumers Porsche 356 when a young woman pulled straight out in front of him. He was doing 40mph and hit her car in the of side door pillar writing the car off and substantial damage to the Porsche.. This is the car now after a complete restoration the car was destroyed up to and beyond the front axle most panels were made in-house and Graham did all the work.. As you can see te car is as new and as a favour G has uprated the engine and brakes.. I goes back to the customer next week gift wrapped... This is the customer who took me on my 80th birthday flight over Devon in a Boeing Stearman biplane

Sounds like that was expensive claim on her insurance!
Few years ago a historic car jaunt was passing thru' town, including a genuine Ford GT40. A builder was so mesmerized by the sight of it forgot to brake & shunted it with his fully laden Transit tipper. Insurance claim for that was rumoured to be over £100k.

The official most expensive car insurance repair claim was Rowan Atknson's McClaren F1 which cost £900,000.

Other opinions may be available but this one is always correct.

Obviously the upgrades weren't on insurance as he is a good customer and friend repair Bodywork complete respray new interior and engine mods now as new that steering wheel is over £500 Nardi of the correct period

If some texting idiotess pulled out in front of ME, I'd find a way to make sure that the upgrades were covered by the insurance, whether it was obvious or not! No excuses for that sort of thing.

Skill and Craftsmanship have already been mentioned, I think a bit of Artistry too and we'll have it!
