Hey Tonup, how

on earth did the Jackal with all his expertise and hand built sniper rifle miss that headshot last night.
Any schoolboy with his Airsporter would have got it.
For extra points - What was that mean looking rifle Tom Hanks platoon sniper used in Saving Private Ryan.
Would guess at a Garand.
Did see a discussion somewhere about the impossibility of shooting through the opposing snipers scope, as he did.
I would have thought it more than highly likely.
(Well Lannis did say "anything & nothing".

Well didn't see any of those films I'm mainly a pistol man as using a rifle is cheating..
This is true.. a few years back there was a famous American pistol shooter (can't remember hs name) could and did throw a pack of cards into the air and shoot the Ace drawing from the holster.. Maz my better half when getting signed off fore full bore shooting took my friend's RFC - 455 Colt auto and at 30 mtrs first shot dead centre 2nd the same 3rd also the bull being black on a PL8 target she was sure she missed the pistol captain said carry on 4th & 5th the sixth the cartrige case flew up in the air and went straight down her cleavage... HOT. a clamour to get it out Captain said don't carry on you have passed... All shots through the same area of about three inches a standard Colt 45 will do a four inch group at 25mtrs. Rifles with a scope easy it's over greater distances that they are difficult as you have to account for wind and bullet drop but an expert would know this..

I handed-in my 22 rifle during the gun amnesty in 1996, there were more amnesties later, now it is permanent. People now kill each other with knives.

My shooting mate had a Browning five shot auto shotgun, beat that.
He took it to Canada with him.

I still haf mine trusty 9mm Luger, ver handy for solving parking space disputes these days.

Used to have a pump action Mossberg shotgun under the counter for emergencies loaded with rubber shot.. Was fun when fired four rubber balls bouncing around the room..

Ouch, you're a bloodthirsty lot, with this combination of old automatics and Western lever-actions, come on now, lets see that Boys anti-tank rifle or a good old Sten gun, probably a few of those that tenty folk have stashed beneath the thatch ... !
