Dollies

Because of my buggered arm, I am struggling to move the bikes around in the garage, but we found a cheap fix:

32 euros all in, from a local hardware shop. Bonza!

Very similar to what the MotoGP and WSB mechanics use today to help wheel bikes into the pit garages.

I owned one of the heaviest bikes around,a cbr1000f,,,i got an old triangular road sign...on the main stand i could spin it all the way round,,,no effort whatsoever.

Oops, you're right! I misunderstood.

Tell you what. SHE can stick around and help move your motorcycle around the shop when you need to. The overhead cost might be a little high, though ...

Ray Manzarek of the Doors fame used to play the baseline on a Fender Rhodes piano bass and lead with this righthand on the Vox.

Having said that this guy is doing a lot more.

I work with a guy that drums in a band, not content with 4 limbs doing different things he also sings.

As you say I don't see how human beings do it.

If you really want to see a Hammond Organ like the one this guy is playing put through its paces look at Jimmy Smith on you tube, back in the day Jimmy Smith was the Hammond man, the Hammond B3 was his weapon of choice

Many many years ago worked on Esso Jetty & refinery Milford Haven sites. On the basis that "you might have to work with them but you don't have to drink with them" me & work buddy Taylor used the roughest boozer in town, the Nelson Bar down by the fish dock where even Glaswegian pipe stranglers would not go. One night some crew from a Texaco tanker rolled in, including a cracking blonde.
To cut the story shorter, in a quiet corner of pub yard one of the trawler lads got very cosy with her only to find she was a he.

You've done well there, just what you need and for a good price. Used one for years especially when I owned a Laverda triple, think it cost me 4o quid new off fleabay. Got a little Beemer now with no centre stand so again of fleabay one of those "T" shaped ones. Couldn't do without it.

Those boards on wheels often appear at LIDL for around 10 pounds. They would just need the two pieces of wood nailed on

That's a good idea ... for some reason I've never felt the need for one, though. Maybe some day or maybe if I have a busted wing like you do ...

What i have done in the garage is install some of the clamps that bolt to the floor. You push the bike in and the wheel gets clamped into place. No need to use the stand at all. I just ride it into the clamp and get off.
Not suitable for the giant 750lb bikes though.
