Good Lord, two topics below this one is ALL about politics with 20 heavily opinionated political posts, complete with Boris Johnsons and Thatchers and all sorts of stuff. Then there's the Brexit posts, and the useless local councils and how they don't do anything but collect taxes etc ...

Does everyone who talks politics get the "I've gone right off you" treatment? If so, it's gon' be a looong winter ... !

Can't do much with the "irrational" part, Dennis, because I don't know what seems "rational" to you. Does it mean I have to think the way everyone else thinks? Do I have to repeat the "News" talking points? You can't just call anyone who disagrees with you "crazy"; well, you can, I guess, but the discussion's over at that point.

Repetitious - Hard to take that lick. Some folks start a COVID or "Lockdown" thread 2 or 3 times A DAY on IKBA. I don't even respond to all of them because there's nothing new to be said; or else I have no idea of the issues between Devon and London "cases" or whatever. Starting COVID threads is the most repetitious activity on this list by a factor of 10, but I don't hear anyone else getting the "repetitious" tag, so you'll pardon me if I don't think it's just that.

"The way I put my points over". They say that nothing makes someone more angry than when they realize that they're wrong. Maybe it's that!

That's why we try to understand what the other guy is saying if there's a disagreement, and what his concerns are, same as we would around a campfire or leaning on a pub bar.

Otherwise, it's just a micturition competition.

I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion.....but endlessly repeating it is tedious and doesn't make it any more valid.

I was always to avoid unpleasantness told there are 2 things not to discuss in a pub: religion & politic. Maybe its time to add a third: covid
