The old mod would drool over Ago. Lost count of the photo's of him I have had to buy over the years. Still see him at Mallory Park when the Festival of 1000 bikes was being run. Cant believe what a short arse he is, but I'm told still very good looking. Good to see him and John Cooper riding round in memory of there fantastic dice when John beat him on the Works triple BSA. I was at the original race meeting and the atmoshere was electric and the cheer when John won was deafening. Happy Daze.

Jerry,
Judging from the last time I saw him signing autographs Ago can still pull a crowd of admiring women.....and not just ones who remember him as a young man....it seems girls young enough to be his granddaughters find him lustworthy too. Phil Read was also there but surrounded by a crowd of none and looking very p####d off that after all these years Ago was still winning!

My mum's idol was Frankie vaughan, but I don't think she liked motorbikes.

Right the driver is David Piper trying to get into the Ferrari he is struggling because he lost a leg as a double in the film LE Man's he was playing a part whereby there is a big crash and it happened he loosing a leg Steve McQueen who was making the film looked after him and paid top surgeons and he and David were great friends David drove the dangerous Porsche 917 at the LE Man's and was a well respected driver the Porsche in the pic was the winning LeMans car reaching speeds of 224 mph down the Mulsahnn straight and at the time the fastest racing car of all time.. The accident occurred in another car with the camera mounted on a frame in front of the driver this may have caused the accident as the aerodynamics and weight of the car were altered the accident footage was used in the opening sequence of the film...
