Today I broke the rules.

Just back from a 150 mile ride on my Suzuki. Was a bit concerned about going out for a ride but judging by the ammount of bikes out today I think everyone is making the most of the mild weather. So good to get out for a ride again.

Well the rules don't seem to apply for the lycra clad brigade who were out in their thousands today so a little bimble by me today seemed ok.

In Exmouth, the seafront is crammed with visitors today. Carparks full so i suppose its excercise time. Supermarkets are running a traffic light scheme to limit customers. I think people who have had the first jab are getting braver and going out.
They are jabbing the 50 to 60 year olds in Exeter now so all the 60 year olds must be done already.
If it does stay dry for a day, i will be out on the T120. Today was mending the Chinese scooter. Starts great now so i guess the starter was drawing too much power. Replaced all the kickstart mechanism as well for backup.

Geoff have you seen Darts Farm queues to get into the store every day crammed with cyclist my daughter came past yesterday and cyclist were queuing to cross the road either side
I don't know why people want to go there as its overpriced.. The owner built so called carbon free homes right next to the Motorway and charges the earth for them...

I went to Darts farm during the first lockdown. waited for entry then went to pick up a large bag of spuds. Then i was told they were just empty bags as they dont have any. Never went back. Fake spud bags on display outside lured me in.
Biggest traffic hold up is still the McDonalds. About 100 cars usually. I do have Mc Donalds occasionally when out but not going to wait 30 minutes to buy it.
Sunny here so might take the T120r out for a spin. Non stop ride in the countryside.

this is exactly the same in preston (preston docks/marina , where police are moving traffic that is on public road on .as its a safety risk

Mc donalds are prowdly boasting that there drive thrus are still open , but in an attempt not to give you covid d (whilst you are sat in car at arms lengh and mcd staff are masked) they have "reduced the number of staff

to reword that:
Mcd have worked out that there drive thrus can work on minimal staff , cause delays and congestion , but its ok , its " As an essential retailer "

I did stop for a photo. I often do my rides without a break. Large tank so it can cover over 100 miles. Not likely to do a continuous 100 mile on the old bike though, its a bit buzzy for the fingers.

No disrespect to your post Jerry, but two offcuts of Armaflex lagging would be a lot cheaper. 28 x 9mm should do It could even come in 6mm thick, but I would have to check.
