No riding today

Had a few DIY jobs to do today which involved climbing ladders and installing some insulation in my home office. |
Was going to go out on the Him in the afternoon but got distracted by the cheap MZ Expansion chamber I bought fo £20 at Shepton Mallet last week.
Out with the hacksaw and angle grinder cutting it into 2 pieces ready for a longer "belly" to be welded in.
Yes I know it probably wont make it go any faster - that is not the plan, I did a similar cut and shut job on one on my ETZ and seemed to work very well, so though I would try similar on the TS.
I have been reading the Gordon Jennings 2 stroke tuners manual to see how close I can get to theoretical dimensions - comes out pretty close as the font cone really needs to be shallower, and the end cone a little less steep for the optimum.
Accoring to the Jennings book the belly that I am welding in works out slightly shorter that the one I fitted to the ETZ one.
Nothing lost if it does not work, if it does then I expect the engine to feel a little livlier, and will have something to annoy the purists :-)
It wont be that noisey, but it does give it a much more agressive exhaust note and on the ETZ the engine felt much more lively, it also got rid of the annoying surging that MZs are prone to.
Ah well gave me something to do.
My excuse is that the existing pipe is a bit tatty........
Who needs a signature anyway......
