All change... for now!

I'm enjoying my new (to me) Enfield Woodsman so much that I can see it being the go to bike for most rides.

In contrast the R100RT is sitting unused and I'm feeling increasingly like it's time for a change. So, let's see what could fill up the space that this takes up - it's big enough that quite a few things could...

I usually regret selling BMWs but luckily there are plenty out there when replacement time comes!

Until the "Shed Wrecked" mob buy 'em up to bugger 'em up, Simon. Doesn't seem to be much love for un-molested airheads, so prices don't seem to get silly and the "wreckers" seem attracted to them.

What screen is that ? It looks way taller than the "early" standard screen which, in turn, was taller than the later variant - or is it a perspective distortion on the picture ?

I only felt my last R100RT made sense when loaded up to head abroad - it was rarely my "bike of choice" just to take out for a bit of a run, or a day out, as almost anything else that happened to be in the garage at the time seemed preferable.

When I had to stop the long distance touring, it didn't justify its place in the garage. It was a bit of a struggle to find a buyer at the time, though I noticed on an MoT check last year that it's current owner is still putting miles on it.

Look forward to seeing what you get next.

I had one of those - great for long distance but shite for traffic jams...regret selling it still!

I despair every time I see a good airhead that's been totally molested for someone's idea of a 'shed built' bike. Yuk!

Angle that windshield back a bit and it would be a roof. TUD could stand on the pegs and still be out of the rain.

Yes, it's a high screen. Secdem. Plus the flip up means at 6'4" no buffeting. I have the standard one in the shed too.

Like you guys I'm more interested in local stuff than true long distance anymore. And as I don't go fast even long distance is ok on unfaired bikes in decent weather.

Only with the wind behind. Wind from ahead, the rider'd have to tack the bike from side to side ...

At least you know it wasn't "designed with the use of a wind tunnel" like the RS ...

I have screens on 2 bikes. One actually caused more wind to hit me until i made new brackets to lower it a little. I like them on the long rides to keep noise down a little.

Thats why I liked the Pan electric screen adjust it to your mood though at full up and over the ton it got a bit Squirrely.. Oops shouldn't say that

My California EV with the barn door screen used to get a bit lively, Dave, over 95 on the Italian motorways. Especially on those long viaducts with the Raffiche di Vente warnings. Must have been mad. Kids eh!

Well, I think Fay and I still have a few long-distance miles in us.

We've got the 2009 Guzzi Stelvio with full luggage and Russell Day-Long seats, and the 2014 Triumph Trophy SE 1215 triple with all the luxury stuff on it.

We're planning a couple of long trips this year, a week and three weeks respectively ....
