I will have the V-twin AJS. The 450 Black bomber looks good.

Geoff the 450 Black Bomber won best in class and best in show. It was stunning.

Something always looks good about the bomber. I remember my first sight of one and it looks massive. Came out before the Tridents and Honda 4s and looked a lot better than our British 650 twins

You reckon? The styling is too "rounded" for my taste, and the tank looked like someone had stuck it on backwards. The frame welding would shame a 1st year apprentice, and the frame design of pressings welded to tubing was just bizarre.
Worst of all they were just boring to ride...totally non-absorbing.

I had one once and was very disappointed. Give me a British twin any day. That said, the BB wasn't a big seller back in the 1960s so I guess many buyers thought the same.
