Beeza - 2nd attempt

Matching numbers. Major renovation completed 2012. Many new parts including ; Ex pipes, silencers, chains, cables, wiring, battery, horn, ammeter, wheel bearings, brake shoes, rims, spokes, tyres, tubes and air filter. Double- damped front forks with new bushes and seals. New rear suspension units. Engine is very smooth and quiet with new valve guides and springs, main bearings, big-end shells, piston rings, and gaskets. Gearbox rebuilt with new bearings, seals, springs and gaskets. Magneto and Dynamo serviced. Very original appearance and sweet runner. Historic Tax status (07/22) and Declared for Self MoT. Six digit plate.
This bike was delivered to St Austell in 1960 and it remained in Cornwall and Devon all its life and then ended up stripped for renovation in Wiltshire (from where my son and I got it.)New stainless steel rims and spokes were added in 2018. £3750 ono Tel 01373 451130 Robinson

I am doubtful if that is genuine. If he is saying ono he is indicating a buy it now price and no one would sell that for such a price.
I have been wrong, often are, but I will be surprised if I am now.

I'm pretty sure you'll find it is genuine Den - I lifted it from the NOC website and the seller is a bona fide club member.

Well as I said, I have been wrong before but if that is an A10, or even an A7, in the condition he says it's in he, in my opinion, is well under selling it.

A run of the mill Matchless 350 sells for that money now. BSA A10 in that condition would easily sell at either side of 6 thousand. Considering the work done on it, i would think just over 6 thousand. .Fixer uppers with rusty wheels etc sell at 4 thousand.

I paid that for an immaculate one two years ago. It's not quite as good as mine but still good. Prices are dropping as far as I can see and bikes are more difficult to sell as living costs and uncertainty increase. It's literally just down the road from me and normally I'd be there pretty pronto for a look but, tbh, I just can't be bothered with old Brits anymore. I suspect the seller has found many are just like me (and Jerry) hence the price.

I'm actually hoping to sell my R100RT - after all the usual vacillation, I decided I've got more than enough fun with the Enfield and have no desire to do a long distance anymore!

That or a brand new 350 Classic Royal Enfield....I think for riding pleasure the Enfield would outshine the BSA with it's smoother motor, EFI, Disk brakes and modern day features - reliability.
The BSA for nostalgia, and as a collector perhaps.

Around here among the elderly riders, the 500 twins are very popular for the weak legs.

A10's are a great sidecar bike..i'm possibly going to trade a 500 twin for an A10 and bolt my s/c box on it,as my friend is no longer stable enough to ride pillion.

I expect the A10 was the most popular bike made for sidecar use. Bryan being the expert on these. I quite like the A10 but not in my era. Just a little early for me.

My first combo was a long stroke A7, unknown chassis, ledge & brace door as a platform to carry bikes & anything else. I did tend to be a bit looney at times but never came to grief though Lord knows how.

I'd take the popularity and the longevity of the BSA twin (in any guise) over any "modern" Enfield. Then again, I'd take it over any older Enfield too.

My M21 regularly run it Eso blue paraffin had a ruddy great tank of it trying to get rid of
So top off the float chamber pour petrol in then it would start then run on tank of paraffin white exhaust smoke but ran OK never pinked.
