LBCVMCC Show

Lothian and Borders Classic and Vintage Motorcycle Club show in Peebles today. As usual just as much to see outside as inside.

The Metisse had a little note on it saying for sale with a mobile no. I took a picture but the phone blurred it. I think the phone saved me from a significant financial accident there. The XT500 was for sale too as was the RM6 in the autojumble.

No he does not Chazzy I brought it some time ago, & have since moved it onwards.(unless he had two) that was at least two years ago if not more. Tempus Fugit. eh!

Very enjoyable to look at all the neat bikes, even more enjoyable to imagine having a few of them in the shed to ride!

The Rickman/BSA looks interesting ... the footpeg location seems very far forward, maybe that's the way the builder liked it ....

I have a modern Triumph Scrambler in the shed. The footpegs are the most perfect positon for getting to standing up with almost no effort. Top marks to Triumph.

My Guzzi Stelvio is the same way, as well as my Triumph Trophy SE triple.

First thing I check on a bike I'm considering ... are my feet directly under my center of gravity?

Just can't do the "footboard bikes" and cruisers that most people consider comfortable. If I can't stand straight up, it's not for me ....

That BSA withnthe tank had a little badge on the side saying 840cc. Shame I didn't hear it running.

The colour, hearing aid beige, is an unusual choice though.

I was thinking that what a choice of colour the thing I don't like with the Rickman is the way their fuel tanks expose the ugly bacing of the headstock..

My A65 vibrates a lot less than a Triumph 650 engine. Maybe i just have a super smooth balanced one though. Its a Hornet engine.

65s were far smoother was surprised when I rode a new one when they first came out..my friend bough brand new and on the way to the IOM stuffed it into a car and went over the top and he wasn't going slow obviously damage to the forks but what surprised me was the front brake back plate shattered leaving just the shoes he broke his arm so we still wen to the island his wife on the back of my bike and he on my mates Bonnie..oh not so happy days.
