Not a Harley either so the pair must be supercool. Needs a small dog on the petrol tank to complete it.

Jerry, I was out and about this afternoon exploring some back lanes, found this great viewpoint and this elderly chap came along and started talking to me.

Turns out this guy was 85, and was telling me about his modern Bonneville that he stil rides despite his Mrs telling him he was too old.

Never to old he said, it's in your blood.

Fair play to him, had a good old chat about bikes.

Who needs a signature anyway......

Spot on Andy. I think most people will never grow old too early as long as they have a passion for something. In our case and most of us on here its bikes. I have friends who are younger than me but they are old if that makes sense.

Jerry, makes perfect sense to me.

I know we joke about our ages here but I a now 62, and I look at myself and just cannot believe I am that old, I keep asking myself where has my life gone?

I do have a lot more aches / pains that I used to but I just grin and bear it, like you I am sure that I am still 17

Once I stick my leg over any of my bikes any pains I have dissapear - ride on man, ride on......

Had a prospective buyer for my Pan yesterday evening showed him all the bits and pieces then started it up ..left it running and was dieing to get on and just ride ..but as Maz and son who were with me said NO you can't.. and no I couldn't at the moment but I'm aiming to get there ..

I was sat in my local bike club a couple of years ago when a prospective new member came and sat with my group and started chatting. He looked like Mr Grace out of Are You Being Served, tiny, ancient and wizened. After a bit of general chit chat, I asked him what bike he rode, expecting him to say a Bantam or something like that. I nearly chocked on my beer when he said "Yamaha R1"

You don't have to be crazy to post here, but it helps....

About 25 years ago, a guy in our motorcycle club bought his first bike (top speed 171mph) at the age of 71. I asked why he waited so long to buy one and he replied, "I had to wait for my mom to die". True story.
