Judging by todays weather it seems like it - had a nice afternoon run on the H2 and bumped into a guy with an RD 500 - very very nice.

Anyway, now it is June I usually take the longest day off and get out on the bike and "follow the front wheel" for the day, in other words just go where the road takes me, sometimes as much a 200 miles.

This years plan is - weather and circumstances permitting to visit my old mate "Laverda Bru" who used to post here - known him for most of my life.

Thanks to lockdown not seen him for 2 years.

Plan is to take a very leisurely ride up to his place on the 21st and have drink or 3 and sample some of Burce's legendary burgers - hopefully end up shooting the breeze way into the night / early morning then amble back home on the 22nd.

Anyone else any biking plans to mark the longest day ?

I'm not convinced summer's here yet Andy. It seems to me so far that it's going to be one of those years when the good weather is aleays going to be 'next week'...

You might be right, I may have "spoken" out of turn.

Today is fairly dull, pleasantly warm, and the odd ray of sunshine poking through.

The online forecast for the comming weeks seems to be mainly sunny intervals / gentle to moderate breeze.

Climate change must be taking a year off....

Not allowed to drive/ride again before June 21st and cannot wait. However I have my son's wedding to get through in Portugal next week so that will help fill the time.

Just arrived home about 10 mins ago after about 40 miles or so two up.

No dramas, in fact the Speedmaster does not feel much different 2 up.

Very overcast though and did wonder if we were going to see some rain.

An immediate memory of Scourie. Sat looking at a loch like that thinking of HG Wells End of the World
and a seal popped it’s head up and looked me.
