Typical BBC

I did watch the celebration parade on the Mall today they said here are the Motorbikes ( quite a few classics) then switched to somwhare else but did show the procession of scooters....

Thing that bugged me most about the whole of the celebrations was celebrity, celebrity, celebrity.

There were very few times when they spoke to or involved members of the public.

Who needs a signature anyway......

There were very few times when they spoke to or involved members of the public.

It's not unusual for celebrities' agents to insist upon a minimum airtime for them to appear at all.

It just feels to me that yet again the so called "celebrities" take everything over, and the public get sidelined.

So, who is the biggest draw for a world-wide TV audience, the usual celebrities or Mrs Jones from Guildford giving her memories of the Silver Jubilee back in 1977?

I thought the participants in the parade put on a magnificent show and should be commended. I'm also glad the Queen took the time to show up,albeit late and for about five minutes, and acknowledge the outpouring of love that the Union and the World has for her.

The parade was fantastic and can't imagine anywhere beating that ..I thought the concert the night before was OK but some stars past there best and others weren't that great but thats me and several times I wondered if I was British as the proportion of white and coloured was at least 75 % in favour of ethnic groups a bit like TV adverts now.. and no I'm not racist but do think we are being saturated now..

I only saw odd parts of the parade, and yes it was good to see the Queen appearing.

I really enjoyed the whole effort. I did notice the young Prince make a lot of screwed up faces so i award him the Gurners prize. Must have been hard for the young ones to stay interested for so long.
Great to see those 4 men pushing the old car and the 3 people stayed in the car just to make it a bit harder to push.
I think i like the Monarchy but still waiting to be called for the knighthood. My turn will come.

The Jag was belching black smoke out of the exhaust just prior to it stoppling so looked like carbs flooding or more likely the driver unfamiliar with old petrol engined cars and forgot to push the choke in.

Hi Den,I have an O.B.E from my efforts working at the University.Then, the human resource dept told me it meant, other buggers efforts. I have been invited to the garden party,then found it was to pick up litter.Not having much luck with Lilibet
