All change part 2

As much as I liked the new little Enfield 350 I don't think it would fill all the gaps that I need right now. So, I've just bought a KTM Adventure 390 for the same money with only 600 miles from new on it. I'm looking forward to getting it delivered. If it turns out I don't like it I should be able to sell it on for the same money or even a small profit. I'll post some pictures if anyone is interested when it turns up...

Don't wish to put the Mockers on it but they did have a bad reputation of just stopping usually the electronics ..I stopped to help one brocken down near to me he had called his wife out to help she had an identical bike and said that had broken down many times and was up for sale

I'm kinda a glass half full sort of chap. If it doesn't suit me I'll sell it on and I'll probably only own it until the end of the riding season anyway. These days electronics are in everything - soon they will be everything! Funny enough when I got my last Ducati I had lot's of comments about reliability and italian electrics etc. Truth is it was probably one of the best bikes I ever owned, 100% reliable. Contrary to the RE Himalayan that everyone said was a 'bike without modern electronics' and simple and reliable, turned out to be the biggest pile of junk I have ever owned. Such is life.

Funny innit. I know a bloke; a Triumph enthusiast, who has owned bikes from a Rocket 3 to his current Bonneville. He also has a Himmy and loves it. He rode a job BMW RT as a member of the Met's BikeSafe team until he had done his 30 years. After the Met, and a period working as a CBT instructor, he now fills his days as part of the immigration team at Heathrow.

Actually it comes with a pillion seat as standard but quite a few people remove it to get that bobber look.

I was really impressed with the classic 350, it is a superb bike for 90% of the riding I do. Loved the sound of the engine too. I'm sure I'll end up getting one at some point. It seemed to just feel 'right' and very relaxing...I think a chrome and red one would make a great little soft trail bike conversion by just changing the tyres and handle bars, maybe some alloy mudguards but that's all. It does ride like a trail bike in the sense you are perched on it rather than in it and the low down torque.
