Health update

Live from a comfy hospital bed.
Being treated for suspected sepsis probably as a result of a viral infection.
Also blood clot on lungs a legacy of the MZ accident I had some years ago. Once you have had a clot you will always be prone to them.
Can't fault NHS been outstanding so far even got blue lighted here last night. Felt like we were really ripping along.

Who needs a signature anyway......

Holy s**t Andy. Hope you have a quick recovery. As I said earlier the NHS mechanics are world class so you are in good hands. All fingers crossed here and prayers will be said.GWS.

Sorry to read this mate. Kinda like Mike, I have had a great service from the NHS this last 12 months, so I would agree you're in safe hands

Hope you will mend the Sepsis is a bugger that has what has stopped me still recovering after a year having a review next week as still have balance problems..then I need a sight test..

Suspected or not, sepsis is not good.
On account of a certain health issue I now have to carry a rapid response sepsis card at all times.
You are now in good hands and all will be well

I don't know if it's the same as "sepsis" but 2 weeks ago I was back in the hospital with an infection that had my temperature at 104 degF and pulse racing at 130.

They pumped antibiotics into me for 2 days and got ahead of it. The blood cultures they took suggested a bacterial infection that sneaked in through a leg incision where they borrowed a vein for my arterial bypass.

Feeling great ever since, so hopefully that's over with! Hope yours gets fixed quick and you're back in the saddle soon....

Sepsis is a killer if not caught in time I collapsed at home the Doc saw me and got immediate response ambulance was told after that had I been half hour later curtains as the bodes systems shut down same as you Lanis pumped full of antibiotics I now take two large antibiotics tabs a day..I can get about with a stick as no balance and short term memory very bad I need Maz for backup.. first thee months on liquid food..
Determined to be able to ride again if only around the block but so far housebound

From what I read, sepsis is usually contracted in a hospital, apparently, hospitals are breeding grounds for all kinds of nasties; as the old saying goes, "if you visit the doctor, you will come away sick".

Feel so much better now. Just had MRI scan to look for clots.

Stats and BP still to low but heading in Wright direction.
