Adler

Just lurking on another fb group and someone posted a photo of an unusual bike, he was in Italy and the owner had ridden it over from Germany!
It was an Adler!

Whatever happened to Adler that used to frequent here in the distant past?
He was amassing quite a stock of Adler bikes and parts

My brother-in-law had one in Brisbane circa 1952, it was a green colour.
They also sold sewing machines at that time.

IIRC "Adler" was Phil Speakman, who runs The MZ Shop online parts store.

The website for The MZ Shop is still online & he has an advert in the latest issue of MZ Rider. Probably, like a number of previous contributors here, he chooses not to get involved any more.

He used to have letters published regularly in "Private Eye" in the pre-Hislop era. Heaven knows why.
