Riding to the beach in the `50`s

Look out! the wild ones have arrived. Those damn motorcycles were parked willy-nilly anywhere there was a gap.
People still wore street clothes at the beach.

My father had a 1926 Chevrolet utility like the one the man is leaning against in the centre of the picture.

Not saying there aren't any but I've never seen one like that with a convertible top in the USA. Was that an option over there?

I think they were more of a standard fitting than an option, Martin.

My mother told me to always wear clean underwear, you never know when you might get run over by a bus.
