Wish I hadn't bothered

Took the winter hack Suzuki out today. Roads damp and hit some light rain. Did around 90 miles. Weather stayed so dull and overcast. Have to say there wasn't one bit of the ride I enjoyed in fact I was glad to get home. That's a first for me but somehow today it just didn't work. I'll try the pub now and see if that works

Ahead of you there Jerry. Desperate to take the Stelvio out. Looked at the weather,damp salty roads and the cold I have. Booked a curry and beer this evening instead. No cleaning required!

At this time of year I wonder, more than even normal, why I bother. Hopefully a few dry sunny days when I'm not at work will soon remind me!

Back when I rode a bike to work, I HAD to bother.

It was transportation back then ..... It's recreation now. Different attitude!
