Strike action

I call on all us OAPs to go on strike for 2 days a week. You must all go to work on those 2 days.

A bit bored Today so going to paint some wheels for Grandaughters car down the garage. Next week i am helping an old mate put up some guttering so i hope its at least 9 degrees C

A walk to the surgery to pick up my prescription also post a letter... then back home open the garage to take delivery from Sainsburys..bring the bins in

Walk to get Suzuki Vitara from garage for recall work, brakes, and then walk to get Cali back from fuse holder replacement/regulator work.
Now to pub!

This afternoon I might go to a famliar place for a short walk/stagger.

The girl did the wheels before i got there. So, i am fitting a solar panel for battery charging in the garage. The batteries supply the outside lighting. One panel is not keeping the charge up during Winter so adding one to catch afternoon sun

It was September/October last time along this road. Been closed for I forget how long due land slip.

Finally got sorted & the road re-opened last Nov/Dec.

Fitting new central heating pump. Bloody isolater taps wont turn off so need to drain complete system. Sod it said I wouldn't do anymore diy so will get a man man in. Im off to the pub lifes too short!!

Try slackening off the gland nuts on the valves before turning the valve stem, Jerry.

The gland packing seems to swell up over time & stop the valve stem turning - slacking off the gland nut relieves the pressure on the stem & allows it to turn. This worked for me the last time I had to swap out a noisy pump.

Have a day off, its Saturday again

. I did fit another solar panel on the garage roof today. This one catches the Evening sun so points a different direction to the other 3 units. It is not economical to use solar panels if you had to buy the car batteries that charge then light the lights. Good if you can find one that will not start a car as it will still work LED lights for about 4 years.
