With the ammount of 20MPH roads expanding more around my way that would be the ideal transport. I think what will happen in South London soon is they will bring the man walking in front of your car with a red flag. My son has just been done for 23 in a 20 zone. My car has to be held in fourth gear to do 20. Great for the so called air pollution. Dont get me started!!!!!

I did my time a few years ago as a consultant looking at autonomous vehicles and their simulated test environments. In the real world of testing though, the driverless pods in Milton Keynes were being let loose and at that time, due to H&S, they had to have someone in a Hi-Vis vest walking in front of them.

I always thought it a bit ironic that in the UK the Red Flag act was repealed in 1896 but 120 years later, it was back in effect re-instated with not much more than a colour change.
