My son once said to me that the 60s were a bubble waiting to burst. To which I said maybe but unfortunately you will never experience the likes again. That bubble will never come back.

I was born '59, so most of the '60's passed me by. Love the music, tho. '69, - I was living in Somerset when they started having the (pre Glastonbury) festivals. Lived in a nearby town, was fascinated by these long haired blokes riding motorbikes, & this loud music...
Had a fun time in the late '70's/early '80's going to anarchic free festivals on motorbikes. Another bubble that won't come back.

I passed my test in 1956 when the tester jumped out from a parked car for an emergency stop as long as you had control it was just question on the highway code and that was it..that was on my 1948 350 AJS rigid rear end

I remember Bru decending on my place - think it was 1981 and dragging me off to Stonehenge one Summer.

Think he had a Commando at the time and me a T150 - all a bit hazy.........

Who needs a signature anyway......

The 60s were good. I learned fishing. How to ride a bike. Learned to swim. Got a motorbike. Started an apprenticeship after leaving school at 15. Earning quite a lot while my mates were still reading blackboards. Music was pretty good back then too

I have heard and believe that the 1960's were great daze.

In my case "daze" is the operative word. I do remember going to Brands Hatch, Thruxton, Mallory Park and loads of scrambles but the rest is a bit of a blur. So I guess that must mean that I was there.

Other opinions may be available but this one is always correct.

The early 60s was spent roaming about the country with my worldly possessions strapped to the back of a Dommie 88 or was it Tiger 100 can't quite remember now.
Latterly, the past 6 weeks are mostly disjointed hazy memory probably opioid induced!
Physio at home is helping me get back my feet

I turned 16 at midnight in April 1960 and still have a vivid memory of going out on my Bantam along Sussex lanes and up and over the South Downs in the fresh and chill spring night with the smell of the fields and insects flying into into the headlight beam. A magical experience and feeling of freedom and independence.
Unfortunately I seem to have missed out on the carnal opportunities, probably because for most of the 60's I was wedded to scrambling my Greeves.
Bloody bikes!
