Thought it time for an update.
It was running reasonably well, but I noticed bubbles in one of the oil lines, no amount of bleeding would get rid of them, long story short rebuilt the pump with new seals, and now no bubbles.
I say it was running "reasoanbly well", in fact it is a bit weak at middle throttle openings, and is not quick to pick up off idle it hessitates a bit
Most of that is down to the air box mod that I did so can only blame myself for that, however the 400's are know to be a bit weak comming off idle, so need to keep fiddling with the carb settings.
Double checked the fuel level in the float chambers over the weekend, all 3 were erring on the weak side, so have now been tweaked to increase the fuel level nearer to the max.
It is a lot of fiddling / farting around but I keep telling myself it will be worth it in the long run.......I know it will
Ah well if I dont get it fixed for the Spirit of the 60's run I'll take the Trident 660.Who needs a signature anyway......
