Amazed at the local main hospital whe checked my eyes a week or so ..they said we will make an appointment for you but it won't be for a couple of months So yesterday my medical app & Email pinged up saying I have an appointment next month to see the eye specialist at the Nightingale hospital ( Built for the overflow of Covid patients) telling me the appointment will be more than an hour BUT No parking places .. but at least its nearer home .. So obviously my eyes are of interest..Tonupdave..T.U.D.

The Nightingale unit is also doing heart surgery. They fitted a stent to my mate just 18 months ago. He had a bypass about 22 years ago and they used leg vein during that surgery. The vein failed so now has the new stent. Doing well now he is 78. NHS is a bit variable at the moment. I had my eyes looked into at Exmouth last week then a physio appointment Yesterday and was told to look at videos on the computer and copy them .Then shown what knee brace to buy. Awaiting X-ray appointment next to see what wear is going on but now, i think i can put up with a bit less mobility and walking distance rather than the risk of surgery. If i lost a lot of mobility on the right leg, my left one is already really poor so plodding along might be the best alternative. Yesterday, i was sent to the Dewdney unit by mistake so had to go over to the GP practice as the physio Doc set up in the wrong area. Dave, if you have a blue badge, you can park on the road outside the Nightingale unit or just park in one of the shops opposite or the yard area next door next to the plumbing merchant. Main Hospital i get all year free parking as i have for the last 40 years
