Some days...

You wish you had not gone for a ride.

Needed to pop over to Cheddar, about 15 miles or so on the KH.

Nothing but slow moving cars, people dawdling, Buses, and Tractors, ruined what should have been a decent ride.

Back home now for a bit of gardening followed by evening meal and a few glasses of Red

Who needs a signature anyway......

Sounds like riding in my area Andy apart from tractors but I get lycra twats instead.

I have been indoors building a new cabinet for the larger fuseboard. This should be my last board change. I have replaced it 3 times in 41 years. I did need a few extra ways over this time and the latest are for the shower pump and stair lift.
Board i fitted 8 years ago is obsolete already just by having a plastic case which is now considered a fire hazard. In over 40 years of fitting boards and wiring houses and large buildings, i only found 2 boards that caught fire. Its very rare. Of course, you dont have to keep upgrading them but i needed 16 ways including the surge protection device.
Saturday, i will use my new rollers to try and start the bike

Extra for a stair lift? My one is battery powered, only needing a small charge to top up them after use.

I had to go into the ULEZ area on Tuesday. £12.50 for the privilege of travelling 150 yards in and 150 yards out!

Sad isn't it when you can't even visit your relatives at Enfield Crematorium without having to pay into the mad mullah's slush fund. Could save the £12.50 I suppose by updating the car but it would take me the next few years to figure out all the high tech gadgets!

150 rural miles today on A, B and unclassified roads through Somerset and Wiltshire aboard the V Strom. Somerset was awful, traffic everywhere. I was thinking how things have changed since I was younger when there always seemed to be space. I'm glad to hear it wasn't the everyday experience. Wiltshire was, as always, wonderful.

I nodded to some chap near Cheddar on his Him - it did cross my mind it might have been you, Andy, but I guess not today!

That's the longest day I've done in the saddle for a couple of years and the V Strom was... absolutely FANTASTIC! What a bike. Super comfy for a tall man, sharp when thrashed and 75mpg!! It says it's still got 80 miles left in the tank.

Retirement still suiting me well!
