Hepolite rings

Anyone used the Hepolite parts that come in distressed looking boxes but are brand new ? The set i have has no wire spring in the oil control bottom ring. I will be using them but previously used Harris rings which are good for oil consumption.
I have fitted a new Hepolite valve to the head but not in use yet.

Wassell have had the rights to the Hepolite name (and the Lucas brand) for a couple of years and supply many retail spares businesses and autojumblers with products they have manufactured overseas as well as some in the U.K.
They have recently introduced 'Genuine Hepolite' con rods and oil pumps for Triumphs, BSA's and Nortons.
I have a Wassell trade account and receive regular emailed newsletters detailing their new products and special offers.

Well, i wonder if these items will live up to the Wassel supreme quality.? Not all that vital these two parts i am using but i might not be keen on con rods

Not used anything Hepolite for years, you could try giving Grampian Pistons a shout.

When I broke one of the KH piston rings during the rebiuld they were the only people able to supply a brand new OE one.

Dont know if they do British stuff as well.

Who needs a signature anyway......

I am going to use them Andy but if they are rubbish, i would go back to using Harris rings. Never had a ring break during fitting but maybe one day it would happen. I use large cable ties as ring clamps as they cannot damage the ring surfaces.

Support your local business = use Harris

(I assume they're still Devon based?)

I think they are still in Newton Abbot Will. Wide range of parts available now and so many dealers supplying.

They moved to Torquay a few years ago. I only know 'coz I used to have an account with them, a rare thing as they usually only do trade accounts not private individuals. Les Harris himself took pity on me when I was searching for a reliable source of his Matchless G80 parts.
