59 club days, remember?

I knew her doing the helmet park at Paddington, where my then girlfriend would ask when I'd been downstairs too long,"you been talking to that Dane again" Nice to know one fancy from those days is still around, all the others are dead.
I liked the club when at Paddington Green, easy to get to from my home,not far from the Bridge either.

I used to work in Paddington Spring Street Post Office for two years, 1959/60 then around the Paddington area, W2-W14, for another two years (W1 being a separate area under Marble Arch). Used to park the bike in Sussex Gardens, even worked in the P.O. on Paddington Station. Bet it's changed a bit since I left. Maybe you remember Happy Hamrax, bike shop in Ladbroke Grove I believe, but I could be wrong.

I well remember Hamrax and miserable sod Chopper, never seen to ride a bike despite being an expert on all makes.

Thanks nek, I used to watch her in her race days and must also maybe been at the 59 club same time as you? I was there right from the start and to prove it this is my membership card and I was number 36. Happy Daze.

mines a bit higher, on account of the years I spent getting a dud bike to go.

I was in touch with her some 15 or more years ago, still a nice lass,easy to chat too.
