I did alright on Premium bonds this Month with a 500, 2x100 and 2x 25 wins. Best Month ever. Most savings are losings with inflation higher than the interest you gain so i keep spending mine. The Premium bonds are a bit of fun but maybe a big win will come in.

I see Robin also has a 31 billion pound debt so i can see some more taxes for us oldies soon.
Now the fuel allowance money has gone, i expect a lot more of my neighbours will start burning wood. Poor old sods were out sitting around a fire outdoors last week. I guess the shilling in the meter had run out

What's the bet that the Personal tax allowance for Pensioners will remain at the current level next budget. Still it's only fair for him to raise money so he can meet the demands of his union friends.

It can`t be too bad; a Queensland couple have arrived home from a mammoth holiday, having spent their retirement on 52 consecutive cruises.

Brisbane`s Jessica and Marty Ansen boarded the Coral Princess in June 2022 and have been sailing across the globe ever since.

Now they have returned after two years and almost 800 days on the water."You have to do something when you are retired and this is what we do," Mr Ansen said.

As they were away and without any bills for food or house expenses, i expect they have saved up for a few more trips. I have been on ships for 51 days so far this year and another 14 days at least to come.

they would still have to pay the Council Land rares,and sewage/water maintenance rates,someone to mow the lawns otherwise squatters would move in and then lawers to kick them out again then thousands of $s to repair the damage the buggers caused. Dont ask how I know
