It's quite true. On the plus side that chap on the electric scooter has evolved beyond sitting on the mudguard.so you could say things gave got better as at least he understands how to ride his horrid little scooter!

At least James Dean stayed away from handbags. I often look at more elderly people and the bad signs are wearing brown shoes, brown belt, beige trousers and pale blue shirt or one with chequer pattern. Their wives often wear pale green jumpers and blue rinse hair.

On the ships, they also wear white socks with the open sandals and wear wickerwork hats. Sometimes, it looks like a uniform for over 75s.
I told my Mrs if she ever sees me looking at brown belts and beige trousers to get me out of the shop with a slap.

I have always associated flt caps with people of a certain age, probably us lot

Other halfs Dad who passed away last year, had 2 of them, a dull / buff coloured one for 3 parts of the year and a white one for the summer.

I purchased a flat cap when I was about 24. I still have it and use it on occasion. They were quite the thing for young chaps about town.

You can have fun with a brown flat cap. Walk through a cow field and put it on the ground. Some poor cow will think its shit itself

Us Wurzels in Debn have cow pat throwing contests. You need a crusty pat with a semi liquid interior for the best splat. Far more fun than wellie throwing
