Short ride

Just trying out the new cylinder head so keeping under 60 mph as a few new parts fitted. A lot of slow riding as the whole area is awash with cars nose to tail as its Bank holiday. During the week they will be back at work and clearer roads for me.

Took the ZX-9R over to Halfords, the long way round (40 miles, instead of 4). Lot of caravans ect. Bought VHT black paint for the ANF's downpipe on the new exhaust I'm fitting for the MoT next month.
Unwrap the exhaust - ah, it's already painted. Guess another couple of coats won't do any harm.
A quick rub down, wipe over with surgical spirit, & the original coating started to disappear. So the VHT paint will not be wasted after all.

No riding for me today, Family trip down to Sidmouth so your neck of the woods Geoff.

Decent weather and surprised thet the roads were not that busy for a Bank Hol

Sidmouth is usually very crowded and nowhere to park.

Sea front one was full, went to the one along the seafront near to a Hotel - plenty of spaces in that one.

Its not a bad sleepy Town and in a small side street near the seafront lies a tiny cafe. Sells local crab sandwiches and crabs caught around the Beer area.
Not very good for pasties in Sidmouth. House prices are very high as the elderly like to retire there. Nice long steep hill out of the town towards Otterton. I used to try riding bicycles up that one and its Peak hill. Needed a 42 front sprocket and 28 rear and only just got up there using toe straps.
I was pretty good on a bike when aged 15. The hill is about 1 mile long with no flat areas on the way up.

Wednesday is bike night on the 1700 until i am sure all the bits on the T120r are working well.
