Royal Mail

Anyone else not getting any letters or circulars from the local Postman ? I have had nothing for 2 weeks although i usually get at least 3 cruise company adverts a day. The man is not even coming along the road to any houses. The Parcel service is working very well with many deliveries of goods.

The only mail received lately is Absentee voting forms for Joan in a coming election. I walk to the local school to vote, I need the exercise.

It's been the case here for a few years. I very rarely get post on a Monday, sometimes get mail for other addresses & have mail left on the drive or in the open porch, not through the letterbox in the front door.
When I went to the local sorting office to complain I was told to f*** off. There's no local telephone number. Long time Posties say the management don't care. Using Royal Mail complaints online produces zero response.
Being set up to fail for full sell off?
Amazon delivered next day with some bike parts on Sunday, Royal Mail is due 19-21 Sept delivery for an urgent tool ordered last Thursday - the supplier is under contract with Royal Mail & won't offer next day with DPD.

My local sorting office is now a Wetherspoons. Its quite easy to get told to f*** off there too!

Seems pretty reliable here, deliveries most days.

Sometimes their delivery times are a bit out, apart from that no gripes with RM deliveries.

Who needs a signature anyway......

DPD has been an issue this week. I ordered 2 very expensive ladders last week and 1 got lost so the supplier sent another while DPD investigated. The supplier has told me another one went missing from the same depot so someone is due for the chop.
They take a picture of deliveries showing just 1 delivered but i also take 2 pictures of the person delivering so i get a shot of him from the left and right. Covert cameras mounted on the house.
At the moment, i am waiting on 7 small packets from Royal Mail for 5 days so far. The 48 and 24 service is working well but normal First class is not.

My postman is on foot but has a trolley but now, no one calls at all. Just wondering when i am going to get some small items i ordered now. Normally, National savings winnings arrive by about 15th of each Month and i normally get some cheques each Month.
Maybe Today will be my turn to get letters.I suppose its quite good the Docs surgery uses text messaging now.

Things are pretty far gone when you can't depend on the postman any more.

No early morning delivery, mine arrives about 1pm.
So, again, Today, no post or packages arrived.

All very strange indeed. We get a single delivery every day Monday to Saturday. I see our postman each day as he usually stops for a chat about my old bikes if I am in the garage.

Service? Well somebody posted me a document on Thursday that I needed for Sunday. It arrived on Friday at lunch time. I recently posted a batch of ten engine sprockets to 8 different UK addresses. They were all delivered 48 hours later.

Perhaps you have pi**ed off your local postie Geoff.

Hi Den, I forgot to add that your stainless brackets and spacers arrive within 48 hours after I posted them.

Some of the small packages are SD cards for cameras from different senders. I dont use my Brownie now so not buying films from truprint now. I post about 15 letters a week and they normally arrive fairly fast although some have taken a week. Maybe Friday something might turn up.
Its been very noticeable as the cruise company adverts have just stopped from 3 different agents i book with. These often inspire me to have a look on the computer.
