Strange it has no large fairing and then adds the little side wings for downforce which is not really needed on an unfaired bike. The V-twin Ducati is often a troublesome bike but worst is the normal clutch clatter.

How can I put this........

Its not as ugly* as some of its rivals, and in comparison to them it has fans who do consider it quite lovely.

*And as the owner of a KTM I do know an ugly bike when I see it!

I'll take KTM any day over that thing.

A work colleague had one of the big Dukes, I quite like that "insect" like look they have when seen head on.

Mines a Super Duke GT but the Adventures are very popular around here, almost replacing BMW GS as bike of choice among the cognoscenti.
KTM performance is astonishing, handling & ride are superb, quality of finish is better than you might expect, but reliability of electronics, switch gear & TFT can be a bit hit & miss.
Mines been fine for 30k+ miles but some have had issues so make sure you get extended warranty if you aim to keep it long term.

I want longer travel suspension and a plush ride, hence the SAS trial. Only problem is being vertically challenged.

A chum just changed his SDGT for a V4S Multistrada. His philosophy is never the same bike twice.

I agree. About as aesthetically pleasing as a transformer toy!

Or it is aesthetically pleasing to the generation brought up with transformer toys.

There's a generational gap wider than the Pacific when it comes to tastes in all aspects of design.

I had a good look at one of these recently and was even allowed to sit on it. It is a serious bit of kit and if it was not so heavy I would have seriously thought about buying one. I cannot believe that all you motorcycle enthusiasts have slagged it in such a negative way. It is a today bike after all.

I have got a couple of spare transformers if anybody wants one.

Other opinions may be available but this one is always correct.

It may be a serious bit of kit.

It may be a modern miracle of technology.

But those features weren't being discussed!

It really is UUUGGGGLLLLYYYYY .... regardless of what it will do.
