Short cuts.

I've heard more motorcycles passing the house recently. Maybe it`s because I`m staying home more now with Joan; she carries a card saying she has had a TAVI procedure (Metal mesh in a heart valve) and is not to be left alone for too long.
The motorcycles use our street to avoid the traffic and traffic lights on the main road which runs parallel to our street.

The TAVI is a device that is inserted into the Aortic valve to repair it. Statistically it is far more successful on women than on men. It is inserted with a ballon catheter inserted into the Aota at a point in the groin. It is a spring mesh device with animal material attached. It has a number of benefits.

(1) It avoids the need to cut the chest open like they did to me

(2) The op takes around two hours rather than six or seven for the chest opening procedure.

(3) Hospital residency is usually 2 or 3 days rather than 7 to 10.

(4) The procedure is carried out I pendent local anaesthetic.

Leon look after Joan and make sure she exercises and remains very positive.

Other opinions may be available but this one is always correct.
