So annoying

Well that's the ceiling painted but still blowing a gale here with wheelie bins etc escaping but the most annoying thing is it's so warm but still not worth the risk out on a bike.

The oldest rocker in town!

Going out to check damage to the Innova - was woken by it being blown over in the night. Gusts of 48mph here.
ZX9's & 'bird unaffected, due to weight & being sheltered by neighbours van.

Out of interest Jerry did you use a roller or brush?

I need to do our kitchen ceiling in the new year, cant really do brushes any more my neck just does not like it.

Thinking brush around the edges, and light fittings, roller the rest.

125 mirror loose, think that's it - no diff, been like that since my off last winter.

Painting ceilings - used rollers on main part for years, brushes for edgework. Don't use cheap paint, load roller too much or go too fast, or you & everything else will end up covered in minute spots - don't ask how I know...

The only thing I know about painting ceilings is Michelangelo didn't use a roller and 500 years later his brushwork is still admired.

I use paint pads. Something i learned when painting student bedrooms all Summer and with a team of 10 of us, the ones with the paint pads always finished first compared to a brush. As it happens, i painted a ceiling on Friday with a pad then a brush around the edge. No drips on the carpet either.
We used to have a fixed number of hours per room on Student bedrooms and it weas 16 hours including the glosswork doors and window plus inside 4 wardrobes with another 4 doors. Made a bit up on the hours if we were fast that day. Hourly rate was also good for painting as that was Evening work at 1.5X pay

Good news on the 125, roller and brush it is then. Never tried a paint pad.

Paint pads have been around for over 25 years now. I never use brushes or rollers apart from edges and no mess or splash if you are careful. Good even finish and no brush marks. Not a bad way to paint

Roller on a pole, Andy, after going round the edges with a brush. Makes it super quick as you can leave the tray on the floor. But you knew that already.

Could be worse if the 10 litre bucket of paint is at the bottom of your steps and your foot catches the edge. Now you have the white carpet with 4 little squares where the feet of the steps were.
