AAAAGGG!

I started the computer this morning to be greeted by messages from McAfee that my computer is infected by a virus and I should remove it.
I don`t have McAfee, so I am ignoring it and turning off the computer for a while.
It's too early for Merlot, unfortunately.

Common scam. I get messages all the time that my McAfee subscription is running out and I should send money, when I've never used it.

Don't believe ANYTHING that shows up in your mail or text. 90% of it is all criminals.

We no longer live in the high trust society we used to know.

Thanks, Lannis, the real problem is I can`t get rid of the message.

Rebooting the computer from cold doesn't make the message go away?

Happenstance me occasionally.
It is quite harmless unless you open it & click on any links.
No need to waste Merlot.

Are these mail messages Leon, or is it a dialogue box appearing on you screen?

I take it that you are running some kind of Anti Virus Software?

Likke Lannis I have been getting regular emails about my non existant McAfee running out and my computer being open to infection, just delete it and move on........

Who needs a signature anyway......

I get emails days telling me I need to upgrade my anti virus and they go straight into my delete folder.

The oldest rocker in town!

It appears in a box about 3 inches square at the bottom of the screen, lower right.

Are you running any antivirus software?

What web browser are you using ?

Who needs a signature anyway......
