Air pistol... O/t

I have a Walther CP99 CO2 pistol no longer needed, with case, pellets, gas cartridges and a few spare 6 or 8 shot magazines (8 I think!) magazines and a silicone lubricant tub.

I sold a nice Weirauch on here some years ago (obviously still regret that!) but since airguns are now hard to advertise and a few people on here are keen on them, do PM me if you're interested.

You are right, a pain to advertise air guns nowadays. Been thinking of selling some of mine as I near retirement - then I think maybe I'll have more time to use/fettle them. Mainly old BSA's/Webleys.
I usually keep a repeater CO2 near to the back door to scare off unwelcome visitors to the bird table & feeders. No, I don't shoot them! But keep an old metal tea tray underneath - the CLANG! scares the squizzers & magpies off a treat.

Not of interest Simon, as I have something similar already (Gamo PT85 / Weihrauch HW40).

Not familar with your Walther, but a look online suggests they currently retail at over £150 gun only, so worth making the effort to find it a new home.

Do you not have any airgun clubs in your area ? At least one of my local clubs has a board where you can put up a "for sale" advert. I would expect RFDs to offer a derisory amount to buy in (Ooh, no demand for those - too much risk for us to sell second hand - look, as a special favour to help you out, if you give us £20 we will take it off your hands ...) . Some RFDs sell on commission, though.

Gunstar has a bit of a bad reputation & the Airgun Forum small ads is closed to members + you have to make 50 posts to gain access after the scheme meant to help out members was abused. Gun Mart has a small ads section as does Airgun World magazine - don't know if free or paid, though.

All methods of adverising do require posting contact details & I can understand why you would not want to do that (I wouldn't !).

Ah, thanks Nigel. Yes, it's all a bit of a dilemma. I'll follow up your gun clubs suggestion - I hadn't thought of that.

I belong to Airgunbbs, & you can post in the sales/wanted section after only 3 or 5 posts.

Must admit I was tempted, but things are a bit tight at the moment.

In Australia, all guns can be handed in to the local Police station. Guns are only licenced to the public for controlling vermin/pests, e.g., scooter riders.
