Industrial accident

Put my back out assembling a bird table for my sister in law. I’ll stick to motorcycling in future. Much safer.

A bit like me David, i still think i can do quite hard work but soon find it damages me. Yesterday i painted a ceiling then went on the garage roof fitting a solar panel. Last night the pain came in so doing nothing Today. I wire in the panel Monday.
Thursday was sealing the shower tray and that was why i had to do the ceiling. These old houses always have jobs needing doing

We have an old Edwardian terrace house, Geoff,,which is beginning to need a lot of work, new bathroom etc. but SWMBO is vetoing all my attempts to update the place.

My house is near 100 years now. About 2 years ago i changed the bath to a walk in shower. This was so i dont have to get out of the bath with risk of falling. I still do all the building work but it just gets harder and takes a lot longer. That shower with a high pressure pump, pipe alterations and putting pipes inside a partition wall, boarding the floor and a new corner basin, 2 new waste pipes and then tiling where the bath used to be took nearly 2 weeks of part time working. I used to fit complete kitchens including plumbing and wiring in about 6 days 10 years ago. I dont take on this work now but brain thinks it can, body says i cant

I do a little work for friends but with both knees faulty, i rely on them doing some work to instructions. Grandchildren will be completing on a house soon so i will have a look and show them how to rewire the house. I would plan the boards to lift and where the joists need drilling then draw the wiring route of every wire needed. This house is for the identical twin boys. They want an older 3 bedroom house with a few parking spaces and this one has a large front garden for a driveway.Needs a new boiler, kitchen and bathroom but thats easy for them as my Son is pretty good at house repairs

Saturday I chainsawed 12ft tops off 6 overgrown conifers. Doing 10 previously meant I knew what to experct, so had a rest day yesterday afterwards. Only about 30 or 40 still to do.
