LIDL veg

Get your veg for 8p an item this week. Swede,carrots sprouts etc. I can have a veggie dinner for under 50p now and then i can heat my house a bit longer with my pocket money

About 50 in a bag Andy. Great for a soggy sprout fight across the dinner table. Dont buy Turkey crowns though, its cruel that these birds had no legs in life

Vegetables? I sense the early onset of cabin fever. So joining in the spirit of said cabin fever reporting...light breeze and clear blue skies here at the moment, but I cannot remember what I am supposed to do on those conditions. Oh I remember now...boil, no roast, some sprouts.

They've left it too late. There aren't enough days left to boil all the colour out of the sprouts.

We put ours on t o boil in mid-September to make sure they are heated right through.

Boiling that long also warms the house so Kier Starmer might want to take that away from you

I can only eat sugar free sprouts though. Stopped putting sugar on about 5 yeas ago and got used to unsweetened now. Still have a bit of sugar on me cauliflower though

Exactly what I was thinking Mike.

Yesterday I picked a load of sprouts and dug up a homegrown swede to go with our Christmas lunch.

Been doing that for years.
