Useless weather forecasters

After checking my phone and hearing the awful weather for today I decided I wouldn't go out. Bum weather stayed dry and I fell into my own trap by buying a winter hack to get me out and today didn't. A dry so far Sunday ride wasted.

I've got a mate in Kent every day he gives me the weather in his area and I do the same so this morning in Kent overcast and ruddy cold ... hear in S.E. Devon sunny not a cloud and 7c

Did not go for my usual Saturday afternoon bimble yesterday, it was just to damp / grey / cold.

Bit warmer this morning and some patchy sun, so took the Him for about 30 miles.

Glad I did it in the morning as it has now gone back to grey / drizzly and much colder.

Roll on Spring, I have had enough of this now...

Who needs a signature anyway......

I still haven`t used the new lawnmower. It`s been showery weather lately, and the instruction book says not to mow wet grass. I'm running low on Merlot now from waiting for the grass to dry.

When I lived in Greece, approximately one mile away from my parents, my brother in the UK used to be amused at the often different reports on the weather from us.
Sometimes a matter of mind, although this winter has been truly foul.

The reason there is a lack of consistency in weather forecasting and reporting these days is because too many news sources are pushing a "climate change" agenda.

Weather that was just The Great Storm or The Great Gale or The Great Freeze or The Great Snow 50 years ago is now reported in apocalyptic terms, and they get way more clicks and advertising views that way....

I don't take health advice from people who think the world is overpopulated.

The MET office is about three miles from me the forcast they give out rarely the same as here we always shout look out the ruddy window you might get it right the weather here at this moment is Dull and overcast slight windy gusts temperature 5.6c had drizzle early this morning.. from my own weather station

Yes, all elements of the media are using click bait.
But we all knew that didn't we?
Its no different to newspapers competing for sales/readers with lurid headlines in the good old days before the internet.

It doesn't explain why locking windows shut makes any difference.
I'd be more at risk these days climbing my ladder to clear the gutters.
During the bombing of Liverpool, my Granddad was telling people to open windows - lights off obviously - to let the pressure wave from bomb blasts pass through, as the changing pressure outside would either blow windows in or suck them out. He'd learned this when a merchant seaman dealing with violent changing storms.
He'd sailed on some of the last tea clippers rounding Tierra del Fuego.
