Number three...?

Since I own what appears to be the perfect modern bike for me, and a lovely 50s single too I'm left missing my usual fun of buying another bike so it looks like n+1 needs to be dealt with.

Not a Dommie (sorry MadMike!) but something 'interesting' is required!

I do have very fond memories of Jawas from the late 80s, both with and without chair. For a start they fit me better than the many MZs I've had, not that much is as weird as an ES250 Trophy - fantastic bikes but very compact. But, I'm in no rush at all to choose. I have two bikes to play with.

I've not ridden much for months now (only about 1k mies since the end of September) and am just completing a major service, so feel ready for something lighter. I cured the vibes in the handlebars by balancing the front wheel myself and loosening and retorquing the engine mounts.
Need space clearing to get on with recommissioning 4 BSAs!
Next door but 2 wants it & says he has £2k waiting.
One of Hinckley's staff wants to bid when I decide to sell.
It's a fabulous bike to ride, especially on the Bridgestones that suit it perfectly.

You sound more like MM with each post Bill!!

A few years back I'd have snapped your arm off but I'm over blasting the roads these days. The 650 Strom with a one tooth smaller gearbox sprocket is quick enough for me... for now anyway until there are proper road surfaces again which is something I'm not actually expecting

Yes, I get that. This is the very bike I didn't buy when it was brand new, but snapped up 4 1/2 years later when it was up for sale.
I've had it since May 2017, so only 2 years short of the time I owned my CB500 for. That was an excellent bike and only went when I'd bought the Sprint.
I considered a new BSA Gold Star 650 - no test ride as I was over 70 - or the Triumph 400. A ride on the Triumph was most impressive, but I didn't click with it.
Now I just think I want to get my old BSAs back on the road. The two A65s will be easy enough, the A10 needs a sludge trap check, so not too bad & the B25T (that was a non-runner after a "professional" rebuild for the previous owner) was a rough as a badger's **** when I got it running.
