Yes, please can we have spring, I am sick and fed up of this cold / grey / damp weather, and yes I do know it is still winter.

Spring for me begins when the tiny little frogs start peeping along the river below the house. Has happened as early as 2/22 and as late as 3/06.

It's -8C this morning so it'll probably be next week ....

This is a strange year for us. Normally frog mating with lots of noise occurs in the pond. So far this year no sign of frogs, spawn or anything much at all. It's never been this late before

We are getting swarms of Starlings all landing on TV aerials all along the road. 10 minute rest and then all of them move on. About 150 i would say land each time
