Uncle Col

My last Uncle funeral Tomorrow so a long drive to Bodmin. 83 year old and we had a little party for him just before Xmas for his 83rd. It was expected due to his illness and in a home. Get to meet a few Cousins i last saw 60 years ago.
He was having some great fun with his wit and jokes when we used to visit. Nice man worked for the Duchy in the forests.

That went well Today and met up with distant Cousins. His Sister could not attend as she too now has Dementia and gone very frail.
200 mile there and back but nice sunny day and Hawks flying around in Cornwall now
Interesting that his Nephew running his finances said the nursing home fees were £2000 a week. They had sold his farm to pay for care and the costs had been over 400,000 pounds but there was enough in the funds.
10 years ago he was going to sell a small part for building land at 2 million but just did not get around to it
