All starts for me this weekend.

Van loaded race bike checked on my way to Mallory Park later for my first race meeting of the year. Weather seems mild for this time of year but looks like it may rain. I have changed tyre make this year as the Bridgstones I was using are no longer available so have gone over to Pirelli's. Will need a couple of dry laps to scuff them in and then I ned to get used to them as the feedback could be quite different. Hope I get a dry run as don't relish going out on a wet track with brand new tyres.

What made you choose Pirellis? When Bridgestone discontinue a tyre they usually produce a new improved equivalent. In my experience these are usually very much the same, maybe a little better in some respect, but thankfully very rarely any worse.

I think you said you're not allowed slicks or dedicated wets so do you use fast / sport road tyres or are they strictly track only & illegal for road use?

Will they didn't do the size I needed for my wheels. I chose Pirelli's from recommendation from other CB400 racers. True we can't use slicks or wets with the classic racing club. The one's I have gone for are recommended for track days. Report to follow if it stays dry.

Are you taking the overheating bike as well, or has it been fixed ?
