Spirit of Motorcycling run 2025

The annual run that I go on has been renamed from the Spirit of the 60s to Spirit of Motorcycling, name has been changed to reflect the types of bikes / 3 wheelers that are allowed on the run.

This years run is Sunday 11th May.

Certainly changed a lot over the years I have been entering.

The details on their website differ form what is on my entry form - my form says qwe are riding from Yeovil to the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth, but the website says the ride is from Yeovil to North Dorset Railway at Shillingstone, not that worried TBH as it is a day out riding.

This year I am taking the Morini.

Lets hope for decent weather.

Who needs a signature anyway......

If you are going to the Donkey Sanctuary and using the A 3052 watch out for the potholes near to the kerb they are deep.

Its always been a popular ride. Donkey sanctuary is an odd rest stop though. Nice bendy roads around there but, yes, there will be some very deep holes in the roads. Locally, there is now a lot of pothole fixing going on ready for the holidaymakers to enjoy better roads.

Geoff did you ever do the bike and car shows at Branscombe Airfield we used to go regular nice place and also anairshow great days out

Andy C - This year I am taking the Morini.

Will probably be cheaper on fuel than the KH

Not been to shows there Dave. Often, getting down to the sea down that narrow road is difficult for cars to pass so it gets clogged up. Nice beach area though as long as you are aware of cliff falls.

Shame it's stopped being an airfield during the shows often Spits and Hurricans flew in and displayed also wing walking the best shows we used to go to living on the Moor then so quite a trip
