And until the people turn around and say to the despots like Putin and co no we’re not going, nothing will ever change. This trash can’t fight wars and take over Country’s they don’t need if the people don’t keep helping them. After all it’s only one overblown yob and a group of bloated thugs behind him that usually start wars with millions of people who just wanted to live in peace dying because of their dreams. Alas it is likely to remain that way for the foreseeable future I’m sorry to say.

As I said in a post further down, the lady interviewed said she was in London to celebrate 80 years of peace and I wondered which Country she was referring to. I understand the point that Jerry is trying to get across but that serviceman and many, too many, like him did it for us and they didn’t fail us, we failed them.

In contrast to all this doom and gloom I met an Australian lady this morning who cried at the wonderful history and architecture of England and said how much she'd love to live here. I did mention that quite a few wish to leave and she explained that, despite the issues that she was well-informed about, the country is still the best she knows of.

I quite enjoyed our chat, in an abbey that traces its roots back over 1000yrs, to well before the last wave of immigrants - the ones whose descendants are still in charge and have all the money and land.

We met a Swedish family recently, and their take on the UK was very different from the endless whining and groaning we see in the media constantly.
"Just about everything works just as it should, the police and courts aren't biased, no-one's starving and Right Wing groups don't organise weekend camps in the woods. Plus the alcohol is cheaper, TV is much better and with more choice, the food is very varied and the climate very rarely prevents anyone from doing whatever is it they do daily"
Clearly the Daily Wail and the Grauniad would have us believe differently.

Visiting Swedes can certainly have an opinion about the price of alcohol, how much they like the food, or whether the public loos work.

How do they know about the biases of the police and courts? Or what groups are exercising in the woods? Someone is just telling them that ...

The invasion of the UK has been going on a long time now but no uniforms yet. It is getting to be a difficult time in Cities now with gangs roaming around unchecked.
Not bad here yet and we do let some people in to stay at Sandy Bay holiday park. That one park must bring hundreds of thousands of income into the supermarkets. We are now getting an Aldi and a second LIDL. About 2000 houses being built on green fields all around the town outskirts.
I have noticed a lot more Marine recruits out training and Today, 2 troops with full kit were out running the speed course. Looks like our forces are building up again

I'm not negative about everything.

I'm very positive about Guzzis, camping rallies, British food, touring around on those hedged lanes, people working on their old bikes, walking about in Kent, anything going on on the Isle of Man, Jerry's racing tales, TUDs historical vignettes, Velocettes, clockmaking, the Ace Cafe, our favorite ladies of the silver screen, Andy's travails and successes with old Jappers, British Comedy shows of the past, stories about trains, MZMark's Christmas picture, most Brits' love it/hate it relationship with the NHS, GtB's tales about cruises that make me glad I've never been on one, any tales and experiences from times I'm too young to remember, pics and bought-it posts from the big swap meets.

I'm highly positive about ALL those things, which is probably 90% of list content.

Another 5% I have no opinion about and am not positive OR negative about. Footman and Peter James, Carol Nash, national bonds, DLVA, MOT, SORN, that's all local stuff that isn't me.

I'll own the last 5%. Fake Mahindra "BSA"s, people talking BS about something they know nothing about (like these Swedes are), and folks acting scared to death about things that aren't really an issue.

Now really. "... every thing.."? Admit it, I'm generally very cheerful and positive

And wait just a minute. YOUR good self started it with your negative comment agreeing about VE day ... that it was all for nothing. What?

I like Trump only because he irritates the lefty green mob here something wonderful. the last 3 times a friend has visited it less than 5 mins before she mentions Trump. Evidently she does not know what country she lives in or that he governs several 1000 miles away.
He has rapidly shown up Comrade Starmer for the spineless arz sniffing coward he is. Plus Trump has shaken hands with the devils spawn Mandelson and kept all his fingers.

I'd like to cunningly announce UK has become 51st state and Trumps immigration policy overnight, just to see the rush back to Dover by all those fighting age men on their way home.

Well, that was my point.

You guys actually live there and experience Life in the UK first hand, which is where I get my information.

Visiting Swedes know nothing more about England than I do, even though I have visited and camped and traveled there many times.
