Motorcycle (sort of) content

Just been giving the 2005 Innova 125 it's Spring clean. As it get's used nearly 365/12, come Autumn it get a good clean & coat of ACF50. Then a thorough clean/tidy/polish around now.
The black placky bits (of which there's a lot) usually respond well to either Back to Black or Carplans Black Trim wax. This time they haven't. Don't think they are that old, but am getting a streaky finish.
Any ideas or recommendations for an alternative product?

Autoglym Bumper & Trim gel has been my "go to" product for a few years now.

Used to use Back to Black, but it always seemed to leave an overly shiny & "greasy" finish.

The Autoglm product is a green gel applied sparingly with a cloth, rather than an aerosol. Buffed off with a clean cloth, it leaves a finish similar to the original with no greasy residues.

ACF 50 works well to clean up dull and dirty back painted surfaces like engine cases - wipe it on, work in & buff off.

Been using Autoglim for years now but use boot Polish for tyres

I believe the Fire Brigades used to do that on their fire engines until one has a massive tyre blow-out on route somewhere. The tyre was found to be seriously compromised by the solvents in the polish.

Finally had to look up "Innova" and found that they are called "Wave" here, 125cc son of the "Super Cub".

Incredible how many people around the world use them ....!

You are correct, Lannis. TBH, don't think it's got the build quality of the Super Cub, or the weatherproofing. Does have 'proper' forks, a semi decent disc brake & a 4 speed s/auto box.
Bought it a decade back, & it repaid the purchase price in the first year.
Right, out to test the Autoglym/shoe polish on the placky bits...
