Warminster yesterday

I see there was a collision between a car and four bikes yesterday. One fatality, three air ambulances. Seems almost unbelievable - four.

Must have been close riding or a head on and the car going along hitting them all. This would be quite rare i would think but is a reason i try and avoid weekend rides when more car leisure drivers are out.
We have a problem of elderly drivers here doing maybe only 1000 mile a year in cars and they are not so good at seeing.

The Yellow bike looked more like a scooter.

yes,old driver occurred to me when I saw pics, possibly too far over on a corner?
we'll see.

there is a real problem with older drivers in west country lately,some roads are carnage not just M4.
Places like Marlborough have a very high percentage of retirement homes with affluent OAPs in german cars that are too much for their abilities

Torquay area seems to be a little safer than here in Exmouth. We have at least 20 retirement complexes and one just built has a minimum age for occupiers of 70. Nearly every ride, you will get a car pull out.
The one that got me crippled in 1979 was a young man but he was just not looking as he came out of the pub car park. Not drunk, he was just turning around and in a hurry. Smashed into the side of me and then blamed me but the Court found him guilty.

I'm afraid it's not always the driver when you live on the main road out of the village it's the bikes that give it the berries going up the gears flat out and still a limited road

Pictures show the car on a bend on the wrong side of the road. It appears to be a head on bump and a man in his 60s killed

Pillion rider died today.
